PAL sheds extra weight
We knew it was forthcoming. Philippine Airlines finally made an announcement concerning their decision to limit the check-in baggage to a mere 50 pounds per bag. Once again let me make it clear, passengers are still entitled to two bags, each to weigh only 50 pounds.
This new weight limit, however, will not take effect until July 1, 2008.
According to my source at LAX, passengers who have already been booked prior to July 1, 2008 will continue to enjoy the privilege of carrying the extra weight of 20 pounds per bag.
